María Goirigolzarri (Bilbao, 1988) es comisaria independiente y productora cultural, y reside en Bilbao. Con formación en Administración y Dirección de Empresas (Bilbao, 2011), a lo largo de su carrera se ha ido interesando y moviendo hacia espacios de trabajo desde los que contribuir a la independencia económica y creativa de organizaciones culturales y artistas en los campos de la imagen, la literatura y las artes plásticas. 

Desde 2019, trabaja como directora de proyectos en la agencia de fotografía documental NOOR, con sede en Ámsterdam.

En su investigación curatorial se interesa por temas relacionados con la construcción de identidad, el desvelamiento de las estructuras de poder y la relación entre lo escenográfico y lo fenomenológico en el hecho expositivo. 

Entre las exposiciones más recientes que ha comisariado se encuentran Un cuadrado de terciopelo negro, que dio título a la muestra de arte itinerante BOSTEKO 2024 e Hydra (019 Ghent, Bélgica, 2024). 

Desde 2023, forma parte del colectivo de mediación artística ARGAMASA, con sede en Bilbao.

María Goirigolzarri (Bilbao, 1988) is an independent curator and cultural producer based in Bilbao. With a background in Business Administration and Management (Bilbao, 2011), her career has gradually shifted towards working spaces that contribute to the economic and creative independence of cultural organizations and artists in the fields of visual arts, literature, and photography.

Since 2019, she has been working as a project director at the documentary photography agency NOOR, based in Amsterdam.

Her curatorial research focuses on topics related to identity construction, the unveiling of power structures, and the relationship between the scenographic and the phenomenological in the exhibition experience.

Among the most recent exhibitions she has curated are Un cuadrado de terciopelo negro, the title of the itinerant art exhibition BOSTEKO 2024, and Hydra (019 Ghent, Belgium, 2024).

Since 2023, she is part of the Bilbao-based artistic mediation collective ARGAMASA.
